Hankook has achieved the lower rolling resistance of the Winter i*cept evo 4 through an fine-tuned vulcanisation temperature and silica distribution. This was achieved through a thoroughly redesigned tread featuring diagonally cut tread blocks and a revised central groove design.

The advanced tread geometry of the Winter i*cept evo 4 ensures superior safety on winter roads: the optimized tread pattern improves braking performance on snow and contributes to stable traction in adverse conditions.

With Winter tyres, the tread plays a particularly important role, as the rubber compound is softer. This allows a larger contact area between the tread and the road surface to reduce wear, which Hankook’s engineers have specifically utilised to increase mileage compared to the previous model.
