As a summer tyre, the VanContact Ultra is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Good in town and on the motorway alike. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
