As a summer tyre, the Sportec 01 RS Rear M/C is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Great on the motorway
Balanced and predictable. Exactly how a tyre should feel. Fine for the price. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Would buy again
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Switched from a budget brand to the Sportec 01 RS Rear M/C — the difference in braking is obvious.
